NANTWICH Town has paid tribute to its stars of the season in its annual awards ceremony.

Defender Joel Stair, pictured above with Mayor Arthur Moran, was named as the club’s Player of the Year.

Fellow defender Troy Bourne took the Player’s Player of the Season and the Manager’s Player of the Season awards.

Full-back Jamie Morgan also took two awards on the night.

The former Sandbach defender was named Young Player of the Year, beating Bourne by one vote, and was voted the NTISA Edencroft Player of the Year.

Sean Cooke claimed the Goal of the Season and also shared the Top Goalscorer award with Harry Clayton, both having netted 18 times.

The Supporter of the Year was given to Rob Woods.

Joel Stair said he was happy to end the campaign with silverware after the Dabbers claimed the Cheshire Senior Cup with a 3-0 win over Stockport Town.

He said: “It’s always nice to finish the season with some silverware and it’s something that the players deserve.

“For a new squad to win something in their first year together is pleasing and hopefully it will lead to more trophies.”

Crewe based company Kindertons will become the club’s new shirt sponsor for the next three seasons.

Season tickets are now available for the new campaign as the club looks to better this year’s 16th place finish in the Northern Premier League.
