Nantwich festival line-up revealed

Organisers have announced the headline acts for this year’s Words and Music Festival.

The eleventh outing of the eclectic annual festival will feature iconic indie band British Sea Power and folk singer Cara Dillon (pictured).

The event will take place at venues across Nantwich from October 8 to 14.

Amongst the other artists heading up the festival are

Steve Hogarth of Marillion and Los Pacaminos featuring Paul Young.

Internationally acclaimed Nantwich resident and festival director, Thea Gilmore returns to the festival, being the only artist to have performed every year since it all began in 2008.

Visitors can hear the beautiful voice of Irish singer and BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Cara Dillon, who will be performing in the Ballroom at The Crown Hotel.

Back by popular demand is Scottish singer Horse McDonald, who has opened for legends including Tina Turner, BB King and Bryan Ferry.

Judie Tzuke joins the bill on Sunday afternoon of the festival, an English songwriter most well known for her smash hit Stay With Me ‘Till Dawn.

Poetry and fringe events are still to be announced.
